Migrating to Nextcloud from other Platforms
The full Google migration tool works on Enterprise packages only. For a shared instance, you’ll need to download your Google drive folder using One drive to your computer, then sync it to your Nextcloud.
You can sync your email, calendar, and contacts, inside each of the apps.
Migration tools currently available:
Google Migration Tool
The Google migration tool imports calendars, contacts, photos, files from Drive and Google Docs, into Nextcloud. You can choose to import them as either Open Document files or OOXML (Microsoft Office format). They both can be edited with our built in office solution. Similarly, the Calendar app will get the calendars added to it and the contacts get imported in Contacts.
With this migration, your data will be in the equivalent Nextcloud app.
To migrate data, the administrator has to setup OAuth credentials with Google for their server (for single user instances: Vancouver Cloud, this is already set up).
Dropbox
Dropbox migration tool allows you to move your Dropbox files into Nextcloud.
Connect through OAuth, your files with their directory structure will stay fully preserved when importing.
