Setting up your Email

CanTrust Open Source E-mail is a compliant and secure e-mail solution that is 100% hosted and backed up in Canada.

We recommend using an email client like Mac Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook, etc.

These are instructions to follow to set up both domain email (*example@yourdomain.com) and our shared canwork.cloud (*example@canwork.cloud) email address.

Domain email (email on your domain of choice), will need to have the DNS set-up: https://canwork.cloud/domain-email/

*name@canwork.cloud addresses, go directly to Email Client Set-up or Webmail or the Password Reset, Forwarding, Vacation section.

About our email:

• Modoboa e-mail interface provides webmail, calendar, contacts and other user facing parts.
• Dovecot provides IMAP/POP3 connectivity to e-mail programs and mobile devices
• Postfix provides the backend e-mail server that actually delivers and receives mail, using strong TLS encryption.
• Radicale provides Calendar (CalDAV) and Contacts (CardDAV) functionality
• ClamAV then scans emails inbound and outbound for viruses.
• SpamAssassin checks and scores every email for spam
• Amavis provides filtering and quarantine based on virus and spam status
